Abstract
This article presents an analysis of the psychosocial and educational contexts of young aboriginals in Quebec and Canada. Using the Social Anomia Theory, the authors examine school success from the perspective of resilience, in relation to both individual and social factors which promote adaptation and school success for students facing a high level of adverse conditions. The authors present results specifically for adolescents and for young adults eligible for secondary and post-secondary education. These results are taken from two independant research studies of samples of Innus. In summary, the authors present several avenues for reflecting on the significance and implication of resilience in the school context for young aboriginals and for their community.
