Note biographique
Liza Piper is assistant professor of History at the University of Alberta. Her book, The Industrial Transformation of Subarctic Canada (Vancouver: UBC Press, 2009), examines the role of industrial resource exploitation and science in the twentieth-century transformation of Subarctic environments. Her current research considers how disease and climate changed human relations to nature in the Subarctic and Arctic.
