AB - Following a brief description of mental health and its impact in the workplace, the author examines the primary, secondary and tertiary preventive measures related to unemployment, with special emphasis on the primary ones. He then demonstrates how unemployment affects and concerns us all: the unemployed, workers, students, natural networks among the unemployed and, finally, those involved in promoting community and mental health. In conclusion, the author defends and integrated and concerted approach for preventing unemployment and argues that this cannot be possible without sufficient collaboration among those experts who study the individual-schooling-workplace process.
