À la recherche d’une culture perdue… In Search of a Lost Culture

Résumé

La science sociale, depuis ses débuts, a été en quelque sorte obnubilée par letype de société dans laquelle elle est née, et qu’elle a d’une certaine façon aidé àse définir comme telle. Ce n’est donc pas un hasard si l’actuelle remise en questiondes grands appareils coïncide avec un certain essoufflement de cette science sociale — miroir. Un certain retour à lanotion de culture représente actuellementune des tentations majeures de cette science sociale. Mais le changement ne peutvenir d’une telle récupération plus ou moins baroque; il exige un travail au niveaudes paradigmes, de même qu’une véritable réhabilitation de la société civile audétriment de l’État.

Abstract

Since its beginnings social science has been obscured to some extent by the typeof society in which it came into being and to whose definition it contributed insome measure. It is not, therefore, by chance if the current challenging of theprincipal apparatus of society coincides with a certain weakening of this social science as mirror. A return to the notionof culture represents one of the majortemptations for social science at the present time. Change can not come, however,from the more, or less baroque recovery of a concept; it requires work on the levelof paradigms and the genuine rehabilitation of civil society as opposed to theState.

Resumen

La ciencia social, desde sus comienzos ha estado en cierta forma obnubilada porel tipo de sociedad en la que nació y de la que de una cierta manera ayudo adefinir.

No es entonces una casualidad si el actual cuestionamiento de los grandesaparatos sociales, coincide con un cierto desaliento de este tipo de ciencia social-espejo.

Un cierto retorno a la noción de cultura représenta actualmente una de las tentativas majores de estaciencia social. Pero el cambio no puede venir de esta recuperación más o menosbarroca, él exige un trabajo al nivel de los paradigmas, así como de una verdaderarehabilitación de la sociedad civil en detrimento del Estado.
