Résumé
Après avoir constaté que les cultures et les sociétés sont mortelles, l’auteurse demande ce qui, dans le monde social-historique contemporain, est en train demourir, comment et pourquoi il en est ainsi; il cherche aussi à discerner ce qui esten devenir. « Ce qui est en train de naître, péniblement, fragmentairement etcontradictoirement, depuis deux siècles et plus, c'est le projet d'une nouvellesociété, le projet d'autonomie sociale et individuelle ».
Abstract
After establishing that cultures and societies have a finite life span, theauthor speculates as to what is dying in the contemporary social-historical world,and how and why this is so. He also attempts to identify what is evolving from thisstate of affairs. "What has been developing, with difficulty and in a fragmentaryand contradictory way for two centuries or more, is a blueprint for a new society, asociety characterized by social and individual autonomy."
Resumen
El autor, después de haber constatado que las culturas y las sociedades sonmortales, se interroga acerca de lo que esta muriendo en el mundo socio-históricocontemporaneo, de como y porqué ello ocurre, asi mismo trata de identificar lo queesta por aparecer. "Lo que esta naciendo diffcil, fragmentaria ycontradictoriamente, desde hace dos siglos o más es el proyecto de una nuevasociedad, un proyecto de autonomía social e individual".
