La ville, les possibilités du cinéma et les films

Résumé

" Le film est essentiellement différent des autres arts parce que, dans sa vision du monde, espace et temps se confondent : le premier en revêtant un caractère presque temporel, le second, jusqu'à un certain degré, un caractère spatial ". Aristarco après avoir analysé les spécificités du cinéma fait appel à cet art pour chercher " une solution aux problèmes culturels d'existence et de notre situation dans la crise que traverse la ville. L'auteur s'interroge sur les films dits " populaires " qu'il voit comme " le pendant de la spéculation immobilière du cinéma ". Aristarco conclut : " Dans sa forme " épique ", le cinéma peut collaborer (...) au problème de l'urbanisme, à l'explication la plus approfondie possible de la crise qui envahit l'espace de la ville, l'homme et son habitat (...) ".

" The film is essentially different from other arts because space and time are confused in its vision of the world : the former by taking on a character which is almost temporal and the latter by taking on a spatial character to a certain degree. " After having analyzed the particular nature of the film, Aristarco calls upon this art to find " a solution to the cultural problems of existence and to the crisis that the city is going through ". The author questions the value of so called popular films which he sees as the " fruit of real estate speculation in the film ". Aristarco concluds : " In its " epic " form, the film can collaborate with the problem of urbariism, to explain as profoundly as possible the crisis which is invading city space, man's habitat. "

" La película es esencialmente diferente de los otros artes porque, en su visión del mundo, el espacio y el tiempo se confunden : el primero revestido de un carácter temporal y el segundo, hasta un cierto punto, de un carácter espacial ". Después de haber analizado los caracteres específicos del cine. Aristarco hace un llamado a este arte para " buscar una solución a los problemas culturales de existencia y de nuestra situación dentro de la crisis por la cual atraviesa la ciudad. El autor se interroga sobre las películas dichas " populares " que ve como " la pendiente de la especulación immobiliara del cine ". Aristarco conduje " En su forma " épica " el cine puede colaborar (...) al problema del urbanismo, a la explicación, más profunda posible, de la crisis que invade el espacio de la ciudad, el hombre, su habitación (...) "
