Résumé
Sans entrer dans le débat au sujet de l’ordination des femmes, cet article vise plutôt à mettre en évidence comment le sacrement de l’Eucharistie représente la pierre de touche pour l’inclusion des femmes dans tous les ministères ecclésiaux. Le premier point retrace l’historique des étapes de l’insertion des chrétiennes dans les fonctions liturgiques. Le deuxième fait écho aux critiques à propos du peu de visibilité accordé aux femmes lors des célébrations liturgiques par le choix des lectures bibliques et par l’emploi des images pour parler de Dieu. Le troisième point rappelle que le rôle de la présidence de l’Eucharistie est de manifester la présence du Christ vivant dans la communauté (2Co 2,10). Par conséquent, le sens biblique des images Christ-Époux et Christ-Tête ne doit pas être interprété selon l’analogie de la foi de la ressemblance naturelle avec le Christ pour justifier l’exclusion des femmes du ministère ordonné.
Abstract
Without entering into the present debate regarding women’s ordination, the purpose of this article is to demonstrate how the sacrament of the Eucharist represents the touchstone for the women’s inclusion in all ministries of the Church. The first point recalls historical moments that trace the insertion of Christian women in some liturgical functions. The second point reflects some criticisms regarding the little visibility during the liturgical celebrations given to women in the selection of biblical readings and in the use of images of God. Then, the third point reminds us that the role of presiding at the Eucharist is to manifest the presence of the living Christ in the community (2Co 2,10). Therefore, we should not interpret the biblical meaning of the images of Christ-Spouse and Christ-Head in terms of the faith analogy of natural resemblance with Christ to justify the exclusion of women from presiding at the Eucharist.
