AB - This article first presents the ecological background of Latin-American cultures that are still solid. It lays out a few elements that are common to ancestral cultures and then shows how those cultures dealt with hegemonic Latin-American baroque colonial culture to create a syncretism that has shamanic and magic undertones. Come modernity, this cultural matrix, which soul is religious experience, is nowadays the place of a new blooming. The article concludes examining how to approach this multicolored wealth that characterizes Latin-American cultures in a pastoral spirit.
