Remettant en question le patriarcat, elle a su élaborer une éthique et une théologie féministes revalorisantes et autonomisantes pour les femmes. Ses représentations positives des femmes réaffirment son engagement pour plus de liberté et de droits pour les femmes, par le biais d’une confiance inébranlable en la justice et l’Esprit vivant, le souffle de la vie. AB - Teacher of ethics and theology and founder of the collective L’autre Parole, Monique Dumais holds a major place in Quebec’s theological history. A retrospective look at her work reveals all the depth and scope of her feminist and solidary ethics, enlightening the value of the experience of being a woman, in the context of the Christian faith. Questioning patriarchy, she elaborated feminist ethics and theology that were revalorizing and empowering for women. Her positive representations of women reaffirm her engagement for more women’s freedom and rights, by the way of an unwavering confidence in justice and the living Spirit, the breath of life.
