Espace dévolu, espace désiré, espace revendiqué Indifférenciation et folie d'Ajaratou
La folie d'Ajaratou doit être resituée dans le contexte des profondes transformations socioculturelles qui caractérisent le Mali actuel. Un modèle d'analyse anthropo-psychiatrique a été développé pour permettre d'examiner de plus près ce contexte et de l'intégrer dans l'interprétation des données cliniques. Ce modèle replace l'interaction entre individu et contexte au centre du processus interprétatif qui sous-tend la construction et l'expression des diverses formes d'expérience humaine: les données cliniques principales sont alors envisagées comme des signes dont l'interprétation s'ouvre sur une histoire personnelle et sur l'univers culturel dans lequel les événements constitutifs de cette histoire (faits, situations, actions, symptômes) trouvent leur intelligibilité. L'analyse proprement dite a cherché, à l'aide du modèle anthropo-psychiatrique, à retracer le chemin qu'a emprunté Ajaratou, dans le contexte complexe et interactif d'événements, d'individus, de normes sociales et codes symboliques, pour construire et exprimer son propre vécu.

The Alloted, Desired and Contested Space The Indifferentiation and Madness of Ajaratou
The madness of Ajaratou must be resituated within the context of the profound socio-cultural changes now occuring in Mali. An anthropological-psychiatric model of analysis bas been developed in order to better understand this context so that it may be taken into considération in the interprétation of clinical data. This model places the interaction between the individual and their context in the center of the interpretive process underlying the construction and expression of diverse forms of human expérience. Clinical observations are therefore considered to be signs which are rooted in personal history and in a cul-tural universe in which various events (facts. situations, actions and symptoms) find their meaning. Using the anthropological-psychiatric model this analysis seeks to retrace the path followed by Ajaratou within the context of complex and interactive events, individual expériences, social norms and symbolic codes in order to construct and express his past expériences.
