Depuis 1999, Miki Gingras et Patrick Dionne créent conjointement des oeuvres photographiques qui s’intéressent aux problématiques politiques, sociales et culturelles. En 2002, ils ont fondé l’organisme Diasol dont le mandat est le développement et la diffusion de projets de création favorisant l’engagement de l’artiste envers la société. Ils réalisent essentiellement ces projets en collaboration avec la population tant au Canada qu’en Amérique latine. Leur réalisation phare est Humanidad, les enfants travailleurs du Nicaragua. En 2007, à Mexico, ils ont fondé le collectif FueraDFoco en collaboration avec deux artistes mexicains. Since 1999, Miki Gingras and Patrick Dionne have jointly created photographic works that focus on political, social, and cultural issues. In 2002, they founded Diasol, an organization whose mandate is development dissemination and dissemination of creative projects that encourage artists’ engagement with society. Most of their projects involve collaboration with local populations, in both Canada and Latin America. Their best-known work is Humanidad, les enfants travailleurs du Nicaragua. In 2007, they founded the FueraD Foco collective in Mexico City, in collaboration with two Mexican artists.
