My traditional name is YELḰÁTŦE, which I received from my late maternal grandfather, Earl Claxton Sr. I am WSÁNEĆ (Saanich) from the Tsawout First Nation. The Tsawout First Nation is one of four bands that comprise the WSÁNEĆ Nation. This article is drawn from my LLM thesis.
