Timmy De Laet (°1983) is a junior researcher at the Department of Theatre and Film Studies at the University of Antwerp and a member of the Research Centre for Visual Poetics. He had an actor training at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, holds a Master’s and an Advanced Master’s Degree in Theatre Studies from the University of Antwerp, and studied Dance Theory at the Freie Universität Berlin. From 2009, he has been a Fellow of the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO). He is currently completing his PhD dissertation, titled “Re-inventing the Past. Re-enactment in Contemporary Dance and Performance Art”. In 2011, he was awarded the Routledge Prize at the PSi#17 conference in Utrecht.
