L'enseignement fait voir les grandes manifestations historiques de l'intolérance, examine si des groupes de la société locale sont victimes de préjugés et en fait part. Il doit plus communément expliciter le pluralisme culturel de sa société, les aménagements faits pour en tenir compte, l'existence de concurrence non égalitaire et les conséquences qui en découlent possiblement pour la société, les collectivités, les personnes. Chez nous, l'attention portera sur les autochtones, sur les immigrants en présence de notre dualité et sur les rapports entre anglophones et francophones.
Summary
The teaching of ethnie relations explores the great historical manifestations of intolerance, examines whether groups in local society are victims of prejudice, and brings this information to the fore. In most intances, the teacher must make particularly explicit the cultural pluralism of his/her society, the arrangements for taking it into account and the existence of non-egalitarian competition, as well as the consequences that might result for society, groups and individuals. In our case, attention will be given to native and immigrant elements within the context of Canadian dualism and the relations between Anglophones and Francophones.

La enseñanza permite ver las grandes manifestaciones históricas de la intolerancia, examina si los grupos de la sociedad local son víctimas de prejuicios y los denuncia. Comunmente, la enseñanza debe explicar el pluralismo cultural de su sociedad, las modificaciones impuestas para tenerlo en cuenta, la existencia de una competencia desigual y las consecuencias que se derivan posiblemente para la sociedad, las colectividades y las personas. En este artículo, la atención sera puesta en los autóctonos, los inmigrantes frente a nuestra dualidad y las relaciones entre angloparlantes y francoparlantes.
