Since its independence, Tunisia has invested major efforts to include the valuation of the cultural heritage in a prospect of economic development betting on the tourism sector. The diverse governmental institutions concerned by the protection and the valuation of the patrimonial heritage, such as the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism, set up several initiatives of cultural mediation for that purpose. Numerous reports and publications mention these data, but little is written on the important contribution of citizens and community organizations in the field of cultural mediation. Yet, the associative movement was always strong in Tunisia and has been strengthened increasingly since the revolution of 2010.From visits and from personal meetings held on the ground and completed by recent data gathered on the Web, on blogs, social media pages or also on professional Websites, we propose to examine the place of citizen participation in cultural mediation in Tunisia. We shall take, for that purpose, examples of concrete projects.

Research Framework: The National Observatory of Child Protection in France indicates that on average, 284 000 children benefit each year from a child protection measure as a result of mistreatment or neglect within the family. About half of these measures result in the removal of the children who are taken into a children's home or a remunerated foster family. The research presented here was initially centred on interactions between the parents whose children had been taken from and the professionals involved in child protection. We quickly noticed the preponderant place of social digital technologies and tried to understand their use. Objectives : The purpose of this article is to contribute to both the sociology of digital use and the sociology of family ties by highlighting how the social digital technologies can be used to strengthen familial links in this specific vulnerability context. Methodology: As part of a PhD in sociology, we used an ethnographic approach composed of fourteen months of immersion into four children's protection services in the north of France, completed by fifty-three in-depth interviews. Results: The parents of children placed in care are using social digital technologies in order to maintain links with their children. In fact, it allows them to experiment with different kinds of interactions, to keep a record of their exchanges and also to act out their daily life. These technologies are also used as tools of resistance: they facilitate bending institutional rules, they help maintain the role of parents and they provide them with an opportunity to assert themselves and help each other. Conclusions: Whereas social digital technologies are still often thought of as obstacles to family life, this article would like to enrich the contributions that show they can also transform family life, even reinforce it. Contribution : In fine , we show that social digital technologies are proving to be interesting tools and that they are likely to reconfigure an experience of vulnerability.

Research Framework : Internationally adopted people are gradually using more social media tools to search and find their biological family. Biological families are also using these tools to find children put up for adoption. This article aims to present the ways in which virtual contact with the biological family in international adoption influences adult adoptees' search and reunion. Objectives: This study aims to understand the experiences and perspectives of internationally adopted adults in regard to their digital contact with their biological families. Methodology: The data presented in this article come from a qualitative study centered around eight Quebec internationally adopted adults. They participated in semi-directed interviews about their experience of a virtual contact with their biological family. Data collected were analyzed through an interpretative phenomenological analysis. Results: Through their discourse, the study reveals that participants award great importance to their origins. Interest in their origins motivated them to find their birth family through social media or to respond to contact initiated by their biological family. Participants wish to know more about who they are and where they come from. However, not all participants believe that searching for their origins is a mandatory step for adoptees. Conclusions: The notion of origins is omnipresent throughout the lives of the participants. Social media allows them to discover who they are and to learn about their history and their birth family. Contribution: The results of the study show the impact of social media on the search for origins in a context where digital contact with the biological family is more and more frequent in the journey of international adoptees.

Young people who interrupt school before obtaining a diploma are more likely to face adverse situations. Being self-determined promotes perseverance in the school, and therefore supports the success that leads to get a diploma. A response to three basic needs (autonomy, competence and belonging) optimizes self-determination. If the school environment can help support these needs, some young people meet them in the youth centers. Consequently, the work of community workers in youth centers is essential, but remains unknown. This study focused on support for young people's self-determination by community workers in a youth center in a pandemic context. The article first presents the analysis of the Facebook page of this organization to describe their activities. Subsequently, the results of the interviews conducted with community workers (n = 11) make it possible to identify the support they offer to the three self-determination needs. The obstacles that hinder this work are also presented.
