AbstractOver the years, Internet has become a searching tool for the translator who specializes in health sciences, and this situation raises many questions. What kind of documents is it possible to find on the World Wide Web? What is the best way to locate reliable information in a network which content is so disparate and which is mostly characterized by lack of organization? These are some of the questions that will be discussed in this article.

Most couples seeking to overcome infertility problems look to reproductive medicine as the highest authority in matters of assisted procreation and pregnancy. The value accorded to children both by society and the family itself affects how couples deal with infertility and influences how they look at new reproductive technologies. This article outlines the results of a study of the relationships between doctors and infertile couples who are their patients. It reveals the content of their discussions concerning artificial reproduction as well as the nature of the current debates and questions concerning the development of assistive reproductive technologies and the growth in their availability.

In France, from the year 2000, Health Authorities chose the development of mobile teams rather than inpatient units for a better dissemination of palliative care during end-of-life care. In this context, our article analyses, from data we gathered in field studies from end 1990's to early 2010s, the conceptions of the word palliative care by the different protagonists of care. Results show a link between these conceptions and the role occupied by these protagonists: for patients and relative, palliative care is a synonymous of death; palliative care professionals see it as a multidimensional intervention; other professionals reduce it as cure abstention. These conceptions resume what these actors do and what they think they can do in relation to their place in end-of-life care. These results reveal the initial context and some issues for palliative care during mobile teams' institutional development in French medicine.

Traditionnal healing is still very much alive in Québec and, although the healers are being hounded by official medecine, they continue to exercise their practice. This article begins with a brief presentation of the approach and of the methodology used. The ethnographic data, collected by interviewing informants from the county of Lotbinière as well as healers, is analyzed to highlight the characteristics of the therapeutic ritual.

The participants examine the definitions of alternative therapies and related areas; they attempt to demarcate the alternative, holistic field, to establish the relationship of alternative medicine to traditional or ancestral ways of healing and to official forms of medicine ("bio-medicine"). They also investigate problems posed by the economic and sometimes commercial aspects of the practice, in addition to the dilemmas which will arise as alternative medicine interfaces with official medicine when integrated into the latter. Finally, they discuss the situation of alternative therapies in relation to their principal cultural themes, particularly holism and energy.

SummarySurvival and development of tumors depends on nutritional and respiratory biological events and exchanges ensured by blood and lymph. Tumor proliferation is associated with an increase in the vascular networks either near the tumor or intra-tumorally. Tumor tissues are able to increase their provisionment according to their needs while directing and optimizing the development of peri-tumoral vessels. The production of growth factors stimulating neo-formation of lymphatic vessels by cancer cells constitutes one of the adaptations responsible for metastatic propagation. During tumor development the lymphatic system is considered in many cases of cancer as the primary means of metastasis dissemination. The study of the lymphatic system setting and ways to block it are important points to consider in oncology.
