Settlement in a new country is a complex social experience. The aim of this study is to explore via photovoice how integration is experienced and navigated in relation to family, peers/friendships, school, work, and community for Syrian refugee youth. We propose four themes through which we can understand the integration experiences of Syrian refugee youth: (a) integration as a chronological journey, (b) bridging or interweaving cultures, (d) managing exclusions, and (d) questioning the premise. Underpinning these four themes is a fifth that runs throughout: resilience in personal strength and external support. These themes provide a detailed explanation of the rhythmic process of integration and supportive factors that enhance resilience.

While harm reduction has been implemented in some community health settings across Canada, they have been underutilized in managing in-patient environments. When patients with substance use disorder (SUD) are hospitalized, without harm reduction approaches, they may engage in risky behaviours, leading to unsafe substance use. Negative encounters with the healthcare system and nurses’ discriminatory attitudes toward patients with SUD also contribute to health issues and safety concerns. These include sharing syringes and using illicit drugs alone, which increase the risk of infectious disease transmission, overdoses, and death. This study reviewed existing literature on barriers to implementing harm reduction in acute care hospitals. Three databases were searched for peer-reviewed articles published from 2014 to 2024. After screening 987 articles, 10 met the inclusion criteria. The findings highlighted challenges nurses and patients encounter in implementing harm reduction in acute care hospitals, including stigma, safety concerns, knowledge gaps, and nurse burnout. Addressing these challenges entails nurse education and organizational changes. While the current research provides some insights, to enhanceharm reduction strategies in in-patient settings, further studies should examine standardizing care plans for individuals with SUD, healthcare agencies’ roles in promoting harm reduction education, and nurses’ perspectives.

Digital technology is driving new forms of activity and transforming workspaces, changing relationships between employees. This is all the more prevalent in professions that deal with relationships. We were interested in professional support, in order to answer the following question: How does digital technology change support based on relationships with others? There is a lack of scientific research on this subject, particularly in terms of addressing the question of the posture of actors and actresses faced with the impacts of digital technology on their interactions. Our mirror study will enable us to interview female carers and beneficiaries of a schemein the context of a skills assessment. We conducted semi-structured interviews, and we analysed our corpus in two steps, using Iramuteq supplemented with an interview grid. Our analysis is supported by the verbatims of the respondents. Even if digital technology is integrated into support practices, the work environment is made less empowering in human relations. Women in a support role find innovative practices to maintain a form of proximity, and beneficiaries adopt a facilitative attitude.

This article analyses the semantics of εἴδωλον, εἰκών, and ὁμοίωμα in the LXX in light of Greek literary and documentary evidence. By addressing the issue of the relationship between the vocabulary of images and the vocabulary of idols, (1) it deconstructs some oppositions inherited from early Christian interpretations of biblical passages (especially regarding Genesis 1). Moreover (2) it shows the interest of including evidence from the LXX in a broader discussion on the role of visual representation in antiquity.

This article explores assessment practices that reduce or eliminate grading (PRÉN) in the Quebec college context, and their impact on students' mental health and motivation. These practices, in opposition to the use of grading, aim to support learning without the need for grades, which are often perceived as a source of stress and unfairness. PRÉNs encourages qualitative feedback rather than the simple assignment of grades. To describe PRÉNs and explore their impact, a systematic review of the literature is presented in this article. The result is 16 papers looking at practices that fit within the terminology of PRÉN. Some of the papers reviewed concluded that these practices would have a positive impact on students' intrinsic and autonomous motivation. However, the results concerning mental health are more nuanced, with some people experiencing stress linked to the absence of traditional reference marks such as grades. The study concludes that further research is needed to better understand the impact of these practices in the Quebec context, and their potential for the success and perseverance of college students.

Although there is a growing body of research on teachers’ wellbeing, research on the relationship between teacher wellbeing and leadership roles in educational contexts is limited. Improved teacher wellbeing encourages teachers to engage in leadership roles, which affects student outcomes. This article discusses the dynamic symbiotic relationship between teacher leadership and teacher wellbeing. It posits that optimizing teacher wellbeing will increase teachers’ willingness and ability to take on more formal and informal leadership positions in schools for a sustained period. Utilizing human capital theory to illustrate the importance of investing in teachers’ physical, emotional, and cognitive states, this article proposes a “CEP Power-Up” decentralized-intentional approach encompassing four strategies to enhance schoollevel teacher wellbeing, leading to an uptake of leadership positions in Singapore schools.
