Résumé

Dans cet article, l’auteur interroge d’un point de vue historique le rapport dans l’enseignement secondaire français entre le « général » et le « technique » afin de mettre en évidence les logiques distinctes qui caractérisent ces deux formes d’enseignement. Dans un premier temps, l’auteur décrit l’évolution institutionnelle afin de mettre en évidence comment la relation entre ces deux enseignements a été modifiée. Dans un deuxième temps, l’auteur vise à éclaircir le débat en retrouvant les différentes logiques à l’oeuvre.

Abstract

In this article the author investigates secondary school teaching in France from a historical angle, in terms of the relationship between “general” and “technical” to show the distinct rationales behind these two forms of teaching. In the first part, the author describes institutional development to demonstrate how the relationship between these two types of teaching has changed over time. In the second part, the author attempts to clarify the debate by identifying the different rationales behind each type of teaching.

En este artículo, el autor interroga, desde un punto de vista histórico, las relaciones al interior de la enseñanza secundaria francesa entre lo «general» y lo «técnico» con el fin de evidenciar las lógicas distintas que caracterizan a esas dos formas de enseñanza. Por principio, el autor describe la evolución institucional con el fin de evidenciar como la relación entre estas dos formas de enseñanza se ha modificado. En seguida, el autor trata de aclarar el debate identificando las diferentes lógicas en acción.
