This investigation is designed to elucidate the influence of surface charge of fibres upon flocculation of the fibre suspensions. To achieve this goal, experiments to measure the flocculating tendency and the surface charge of the fibre networks were consecutively performed on the same sample of fibre suspension. A radar study of two Alberta hailstorms has revealed the existence of small cellular radar echoes with durations of 10-30 minutes. These cells were found to group together to form storm families which existed for several hours.
