A system is described for time-lapse stereoscopic cloud photography using 16-mm cameras, for rectification of the photographs for camera tilt, and for analysing them to obtain cloud dimensions by superimposing the projected images of stereo-pairs on a gridded screen. Mowrer's (1947) and Spence's (1956) suggestion that classical conditioning may play a significant role in the acquisition and performance of instrumental responses has fostered two broad lines of research. One of these bas been concerned with the role of classcally conditioned responses in instrumental behavior (Wynne & Solomon, 1955; Solomon & Turner, 1962; Miller & DeBold, 1965; Williams, 1965) and bas produced mainly negative results. The Mattagami Lake mine deposit is a zinc and copper-bearing pyritiferous deposit emplaced in a thick volcanic pile at the contact of pyroclastic rhyodacite and effusive andesite. In its geological setting and mineralogy it is similar to many other deposits in North America, e.g. the Horne and Lake Dufault mines of the Noranda camp, flin flan, Geco mine, Buchans, the deposits of Shasta County, California and the Verde mine, Arizona. An interaction between nucleons and/or nuclei is commonly termed a nuclear reaction. This includes a variety of processes such as elastic or inelastic scattering, spallation, fragmentation, fission, etc. In the present work strontium, enriched to greater than 99.8% in mass 88, was bombarded with protons in the energy range 7 to 85 MeV. Elastic or inelastic scattering studies, although important, have not been undertaken in this work. A method for obtaining proton-nucleus reaction cross sections from the elastic scattering data is described. The procedure involves the determination of the forward nuclear scattering amplitude from the elastic data and the calculable Coulomb scattering amplitude.
