The author gives here a chronological account of his composenitional career. It is learned that the oboe is a very special instrument for him, that he learned in Poland, “ another way of being ”, a discovery made while studying with Penderecki. From Quebec to Winnipeg, by way of Poland, finally returning to Quebec — and also by way of the composition of symphonic works — it is an unusually original story that is presented.

This composer and guitarist draws a portrait of his evolution, beginning with jazz and moving to improvised and contemporary music. His music today uses a mixture of all three types, a fact that provides its most singular characteristic. In this text with many autobiographical overtones, Tim Brady describes the 1964 television presentation of the Beatles as a catalyst for his career, an event that still operates today as a source of inspiration, together with other things such as foreign literature, social context, politics, etc.
