This testimony traces the personal journey of the author, president of the Coalition des organisations acadiennes du Québec (COAQ), as a Québec Acadian who has become increasingly involved in promoting Acadian culture. Through the various experiences that have awakened her sense of identity, she has also become aware of the tensions between Acadia in Québec and Acadia in the Maritimes. Thus, her reflections shed a more personal light than many scientific works and polemical essays on the debates and dynamics within the Acadian diaspora.
