This paper aims to evaluate and analyze trade potential of Monetary and Economic Community of Central Africa's countries (MECCA) in the light of market integration theory. Gradually, we analyze stylized facts of member's countries trade and estimate an augmented gravity model to evaluate the bilateral trade patterns in the subregion. The results obtained are used to compute the trade potential index in the community. The study found four major results: (i) the stylized facts show heterogeneity and a low level of integration in the subregion; (ii) the coefficients of the traditional variables of the gravity model globally keep their theoretical signs; (iii) the poor level of GDP per capita and the lack of diversification of productive structures are the main factors reducing trade potential in the sub-region; (iv) even though weak, there is some trade creation episodes, notably in the bilateral flows of Cameroon and others member's countries.

Despite their numerical importance and the role they are assigned in the promotion of the private sector, Tunisian Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) fail to fulfill the requirements of banks in order to meet their financing needs. The estimation of the very first disequilibrium model applied to Tunisia is based on a panel data set of 1 275 Tunisian SMEs observed between 2001 and 2006. It shows that the demand for bank credit is not determined by « endogenous » factors such as the activity level and internal available resources of SMEs, but rather by « exogenous » factors such as the cost of financing and guarantees required by banks. The requirements of banks especially regarding real guarantees explain to a large extent the lack of bank lending as compared to the needs expressed, and results in an average share of 80 % - partially or totally - credit rationed SMEs.

AbstractThe aim of this work is to study a case of strategic alliance between a multinational firm (Danone) and an agrifood SME (Djurdjura) in Algeria. Situations of size, bargaining power and control asymmetries turn this agreement into a specific case of inter-firms relations. The consequences of the agreement were analysed on three levels : the entity itself, other subsidiary companies of the Algerian group and the fresh dairy sector in Algeria. The conceptual framework combines strategic analysis and an organisational learning approach. The results show prudence from the SME in relation to the operations of the FMN in order to slow down its learning and to increase its control.

What could stand for the evolution, the upholding or the decline of an entrepreneurial intention (E.I.) as time goes by? Current researches do not bring any answers to this question, because they do not integrate the idea of mobility and inherent uncertainty of any E.I.Following a work of investigation by inductive analysis on a ground made up of students in economy and sciences of management, we noted that the E.I. could extend over one relatively long duration, during which its intensity could vary considerably. The explanatory assumption that we present is as follows: the trajectory of an E.I. breaks up into three phases. The first one is the discovery of this professional possibility. During the second one, the students learn how to bind satisfaction and situations of the entrepreneurial type. The third one is the fate which is made to the preceding association: as long as it lasts, the E.I. is maintained. On the other hand, if negatively lived experiments come to contradict it, the E.I. may collapse, even disappear.
