The use of illustrated text in class does not prevent reading difficulties for students but rather represents a teaching challenge. It is still necessary to have historical and sociocultural knowledge, cognitive skills and aesthetic sensitivity. Furthermore, we may sometimes find the codes and stereotypes of comics in literary works; they inspire a particular reading mode. In any case, a leading function is applied for readers.
