341.More information
The analysis of the critical wealth of cultural productions suggests that the emotional content of archives is acknowledged by the users and permits one to understand how emotions arise during the consultation of archives. It has become apparent that the emotional reading of archives is influenced by the characteristics of the archival documents themselves (authenticity, size, the lapse of time), the common denominator of which is the capacity to evoke. These characteristics must then be activated by conditions such as the materials, the devices used to consult the archives, the context in which they are used and the role attributed to the public. This will allow for a better understanding of the archives as objects to be interpreted.
