TURNAROUND

The essence of an open access, web-based journal is speed, subject to thorough peer review.

All submissions to the journal are first reviewed by the co-editors. The initial stage determines whether the submission is of high quality and should be sent to reviewers. This process allows for fast decision on unpromissing manuscripts so that authors do not need to wait for the review process.

For papers sent to referees, we aim to provide the first decision within 12 weeks of submission. If the co-editor in charge of the paper requests a revision, we expect the revision be submitted within 9 months. Most editorial decisions are made promptly after the first round. If a second round of revision is required, we aim to provide the second decision within 12 weeks.
