The debate on the issue of labor market, in the era of globalization, essentially multidimensional and complex, plays a major role in academia, in the country's decision-making bodies but also in popular discourse. All countries aim to make the best use of the productive forces so that each can contribute to overall success. However, implementing policies aimed to overcome the labor market problems poses challenges for countries in many ways. This article aims to better understand the economical, sociological, and political perspectives of the labor market in the production of knowledge. It draws on classical, neoclassical, monetarist, Keynesian, relational and critical analyzes of the market to clarify questions related to the functioning of the contemporary labor market.

AbstractThe Sonic Research Studio at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia was founded in 1965 by R. Murray Schafer. Professor Barry Truax joined the studio in 1973 to work on the World Soundscape Project. He subsequently participated in every stage of its development and even designed the current studio in collaboration with Dave Murphy. In a conversation with Sylvia L'Écuyer, he describes the unique approach adopted by the Studio as part of the School for Contemporary Arts, which adopts a multidisciplinary and McLuhanesque point of view. Trained at McGill, in Utrecht and Stockholm, Barry Truax puts the different philosophies and technologies adopted in Europe and on the East coast of North America into perspective. The Simon Fraser studio, equipped with both analog and digital equipment, enriched by the archives which have been painstakingly preserved there, enjoys the best of both worlds and plays an essential role of mentoring students.

The COVID-19 pandemic, climate migration, and biodiversity loss are examples of contemporary crises which, as Van Rensselaer Potter suggests, would benefit from a rapprochement between Bio and Ethics in order to mitigate the damage. Future bioethicists will have to continue this Potterian quest by opening up the field of bioethics to new interdisciplinary collaboration and themes of study, going beyond biomedical technologies and the life sciences, to include business, corporations, finance, the market and human consumption, production and demography, all of which have significant influences on the local allocation of care and on the global future of ecosystems.
