The author is coordinator of research in a "research school" associated with the Centre interdisciplinaire de recherche sur l'apprentissage et le développement en éducation (CIRADE: interdisciplinary centre for research on learning and on educational development). He describes what is covered by the notion of a research school and his concept of a collaborative research project. After presenting the organizational context of the collaborative research projects conducted in the school, describing recent research projects, and discussing the roles of the partners involved, he identifies certain features of partnership in the context of collaborative research in a research school.
