The appearance of French as a written language and its progressive diffusion in non-literary fields has been relatively well studied in Gallo-Romance scriptology. The royal chancery, however, is a notable exception. Its influence on the development of linguistic standards has often been stressed, but there has been no detailed examination of the appearance and characteristics of its own language or of the mechanisms of its presumed diffusion. Further, the language of mediaeval documents of Paris and the Île-de-France has not been well studied, apart from an article published in 1976 by Louis Carolus-Barré. The two oldest French acts of the royal chancery that he then knew date from 1254 (the renunciation by Jean, count of Brittany, of the kingdom of Navarre) and 1259 (the peace concluded by Louis IX and Henry III of England). A charter dated August 1241 (Arch. nat., J 198, no. 82, an agreement between the Temple and Thibaut IV, count of Champagne) witnesses the fi rst appearance of the use of the langue d’oïl by the French royal chancery. This article examines the historical context of the act and analyses its linguistic characteristics.

Summary : How can the process and cost of writing texts be studied ? The triple task methodologyThis methodological note has three goals. The first is to describe the various uses of the triple task paradigm (writing ; quick reactions, think aloud protocols) proposed by Kellogg (1986, 1987b) and Levy and Ransdell (1994, 1995). The dependent variables related to this paradigm are examined. The second aim is to evaluate the validity of the paradigm by measuring the task's reactivity and that of verbalisation. The third goal is to offer a short review of findings related to the use ofthe paradigm. We conclude by showing the efficacy of the triple-task paradigm for the investigation oftext writing.Key words : writing, processes, cognitive effort, time processing, triple task.

Considered one of the main drivers of economic development of a country, the young innovative technological ventures (YITV) are responsible for the introduction of new technologies, exploring business opportunities and the creation of markets for the future. In spite of the considerable interest carried in the performance of YITV (Jiao et al., 2013 ; Chen, 2009 ; Song et al., 2008), research on the determinants have instead adopted a contingency approach that gestalt, while many studies underline the relevance of this latter perspective is to integrate various elements into a holistic approach (Ketchen, Thomas and Snow, 1993 ; Harms et al., 2009 ; Witmeur and Biga Diambeidou, 2010) so as to overcome the conflicts of the contingent approach related to the analysis of a multitude of bivariate relationships (Henninger-Vacher, 1999 ; 2000).The purpose of this research thus is to contribute to a better understanding of the performance of the YITV by the proposal of a gestaltist modeling which joins within the framework of the configurationnel approach. To reach there, a quantitative survey was led with a sample of 95 YITV of the software sector in France. The conclusions of this work can then constitute a key for reading allowing to give an instructive perspective on the privileged ways of the performance of the YITV and to be the object, for the practitioners, of reflections and complementary analyses in their practices even of development of a decision-making tool aimed at the entrepreneurs.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children has the potential to influence the functioning, quality of life and adjustment of families. However, although the importance of training parents and supporting them in their interventions is recognized, few programs support the development of parenting skills specific to the needs of these children while also considering their unique daily reality. It is from this perspective that the L'ABC du comportement d'enfants ayant un TSA : des parents en action! (L'ABC-TSA) has been developed and adapted to an online modality. This online version is accessible to parents who, for various reasons (e.g., geographic distance, complex organization of childcare) cannot participate in the group or individual modalities of an in-person program. This article presents the results of a pilot study examining the effectiveness of the online modality of the L'ABC-TSA program as well as its social validity. The participants are parents (n = 10) of children with ASD aged 7 and under receiving services from Integrated (university) health and social services centers (IUHSSC/IHSSC) in Quebec. The results show a significant increase in parental competence, knowledge about ASD, and parenting effectiveness over time. Participants find the procedures used in the program acceptable and are satisfied with the program. The online modality of this program increases the accessibility of services offered to parents of young children with ASD.

This article presents the foundation of research around which other contributions in this issue are structured. It follows from a larger study aimed at supporting the professional development of beginning teachers with respect to their personal epistemology. The study explores the link between beliefs and practices in continuing education.

Are statutes and regulations, and indeed contracts, “readable” matter for those that may, in whatever capacity, seek to make use of such documents ? What is required, in order that they be made so “readable ?” And beyond being readable matter, how can statutes, regulations, and contracts contribute to efficient and meaningful interpersonal communication about legal norms ? This paper reports on the findings of an empirical investigation into verbal exchanges between lay persons in contemplation of a contractual relationship : on the one hand prospective buyers of prearranged funeral services contracts, and on the other salespersons acting on behalf of cooperatives that offer such services. Under Québec law, the making of this type of contract comes under an elaborate statutory and regulatory scheme. The investigation produced qualitative data relating to the substance and form of verbal exchanges, to the posture assumed by the service provider's sales representative, and to the use made of the physical contract document during and after the intercourse leading to agreement. The data offer insights into the respective functions of verbal and written communication when lay persons communicate about entering legally based relationships.

To this day, intellectual giftedness remains a subject of debate among clinicians and researchers in a variety of fields. Its conceptualization and measurement are not unanimously accepted, resulting in significant limitations in the production of scientific knowledge surrounding gifted populations. While we know that low cognitive ability is a risk factor for the development of a substance use disorder (SUD), the links between intellectual giftedness and the use of psychoactive substances (PAS) remain poorly understood. Representing up to 2% of the general population, gifted people typically display high levels of metacognitive ability, creativity and commitment. Some gifted people present a combined condition commonly referred to as “double exceptionality” (2e) (e.g. learning difficulties, attentional difficulties, autism, mental health problems). This neurocognitive profile puts gifted people at greater risk of experiencing minority stress resulting from the neuronormativity present in society. This article presents the results of a scoping review conducted in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 guidelines in order to determine the state of knowledge surrounding APS use in gifted and 2e individuals. Of the 25 studies selected, although it is impossible to say whether APS use differs in the intellectually gifted compared with the general population, the development of SUD may be less frequent and delayed in the latter. However, there are important limitations to the conceptualization and assessment of giftedness, as well as the use of APS. In view of the minority stress that neurodivergent populations may encounter, a critical and neuroaffirmative posture for intervening in addiction with gifted and 2e people appears necessary.
