AbstractThere is a lack of information in the specialized literature in French on the different theoretical approaches in the field of trade policy analysis. This text aims to fill this void by focusing on the analytical tools developed in this field and by offering a reflection on the level of integration of the existing variables. It offers an overview of the state of the different sources of theoretical explanations available to the analyst. The paper concludes that it is useful to treat the sources of explanation of trade policy decisions in an integrated manner and to put to contribution the principal levels of analysis identified in the literature in order to explain a policy orientation.

Youth have been the focus of many studies in recent years. This present study contributes to the growing body of research, particularly by considering how teenagers perceive politics. Which terms (common good, power, conflict, etc.) do teenagers more generally associate with politics? Using survey responses from 700 Montreal teenagers, we explore how conceptions of politics influence their involvement. Factor and regression analyses allow us to conclude that, beyond interest, a positive association with politics has a greater effect on engagement than negative associations, and that nothing is worse than indifference.

AbstractPolitical communication, which had long been forsaken by the French political science, has, since the eighties, met with renewed and growing interest among political analysts whose concern lies in the sociological analysis of political phenomena. They have endeavoured to question the mythologies and founding beliefs of the realm of political communication and to characterize the role of spin doctors among the experts in politics. They have also attempted to assess the effects produced by the generalization of that activity on the unfolding of political life. This research opens up fruitful perspectives for the comprehension of the ongoing transformations/alterations of contemporary political systems.

AbstractTheologian Erik Peterson's thesis concerning the rupture of Christian theology away from the Greek and Roman pagan theologico-political problem and from Israel's monotheism is well-founded theologically but historically problematic. This paper offers a critical analysis of this situation by exposing specifically Christian concepts for a political theology. These concepts have determined the permanence and flexibility of political theology since Constantine's Empire up to contemporary liberal democracies.

This paper examines the political ideology of the Movement for the ummah (al- ḥaraka min ajl al-umma), a minority movement within the Moroccan Islamist landscape, but independent of the Arab and Maghrebi Islamist matrix. It is situated halfway between religious conservatism and political realism, in relation to its conception of secularism, the ummah, the state, and sharia. Indeed, this movement rejects Western-style secularism but still opts for the separation of politics and religion. According to its doctrine, the ummah is sovereign, but this sovereignty is limited by sharia. In the view of this movement, the State embodies a civil institution that should always be at the service of the ummah. For the analysis of this movement, we consulted its fundamental documents (its political doctrine) and conducted interviews with its leaders, including its president, Mohamed El-Marouani.
