This qualitative case study aims to investigate the concept of multifunctionality in agriculture based on the theoretical framework of Wilson (2007, 2009). The case studied is the Maria-Chapdelaine regional county municipality, in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean administrative region, in the province of Quebec, in Canada. Individual and group research interviews, participant observations, as well as a literature review were performed during 2023-2024. Our results suggest a good recognition of the multiple functions of agriculture by the participants. On the other hand, most feel they need to increase their knowledge on the subject. The concept of multifunctionality in agriculture proved to be difficult to grasp for several respondents, which complicated the identification of functions. We suggest that future research uses a methodological approach that is as non-prescriptive as possible to facilitate the identification of diverse functions.

Context: Internet surveys are now widely used, but their effects on the profile of women who experienced childhood sexual abuse (CSA) compared to other methods are not well known. This study aims to compare the effects of using the Internet survey method with those of the telephone population survey method on the profile of women who were victims of CSA, particularly in terms of their sociodemographic data, victimization experiences, and adaptation difficulties in adulthood. Method: The study compares two samples of women who were victims of CSA and who responded to the same questionnaire, one from a telephone population survey with probabilistic sampling (N = 199) and the other from a survey involving the self-administration of the questionnaire via the Internet with convenience sampling (N = 269). Results: Compared to the women from the telephone population survey, those from the Internet survey are more likely to: be students rather than full-time workers; have completed a post-secondary education rather than only an elementary education; report an annual salary of over $40,000 rather than less than $20,000; report more experiences of childhood victimizations; report symptoms of a depressive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder; and have had suicidal ideation. Conclusion: The results show that methodological choices result in significantly different profiles of women who were victims of CSA. Implication: Beyond the logistical advantages provided by the Internet surveys, their effects must be considered in research planning and interpretation of results.

This article explores the cinema of the Kendrick brothers, evangelical pastors turned filmmakers. It analyses the fatherhood discourse they incorporate in their filmography. By mobilizing the concept of hegemonic masculinity, this study aims to elucidate the gender theory underlying the Kendrick brothers’ films and to demonstrate how this theory ultimately aligns with the continuity of their pastoral practice. Indeed, this article seeks to show that the role of the Kendrick brothers’ evangelical cinema is rooted in a deliberate intention to use the image as a tool for theological transmission.

This article analyzes the effects of pedagogical and digital transformations on teaching and research practices as well as on the professionalisation of teacher-researchers, based on a digital accessibility project funded within a governmental initiative. The study, grounded in a comprehensive approach and a thematic analysis of four teacher-researchers experience narratives, highlights the (trans)formations (Josso, 2011) generated by this transformative process. It draws on Self-Determination Theory (Deci et al., 2017) as well as a conception of academic work that articulates personal, impersonal, transpersonal, and interpersonal dimensions (Miossec & Clot, 2011). Findings show concrete pedagogical changes: scenario design, content clarification, hybridisation, and greater attention to digital accessibility. The project meets the need for autonomy and competence but responds ambivalently to the need for belonging. Despite strong individual commitment, institutional recognition remains limited, collective support scarce, and organizational tensions significant. These constraints hinder the dissemination of innovation and weaken the sustainability of intrinsic motivation. The article advocates for a systemic approach to professionalisation, integrating all dimensions of academic work in a holistic vision. It stresses the need for structural recognition digital accessibility structural recognition in teaching as a key lever for transforming higher education and research.

Background: A charge nurse holds a clinical-administrative management position in health care institutions. To perform this position effectively, they must demonstrate specific competencies, including leadership, interpersonal communication, clinical-administrative caring, problem-solving, and knowledge and understanding of the work environment. Due in part to the shortcomings of existing training targeting this position, charge nurses receive limited support in terms of the appropriation of their position and the strengthening of their competencies. In response to this situation, a training was developed that takes into consideration the five required competencies, includes principles that promote the transfer of training, and would be systematically provided to new charge nurses exercising their position in health care institutions. This training was then subjected to an empirical validation process in order to be scientifically recognized. Objective: To empirically validate the training developed to support charge nurses in fulfilling their position, by assessing content validity and reliability. Method: This study is based on the conceptual model entitled “Modèle de formation pour l’assistante infirmière-chef” as well as the methodological framework Conducting and REporting DElphi Studies (CREDES) and reporting guidelines established by Spranger et al. (2022). A Delphi approach was used to validate the training by through a self-administered online questionnaire completed by experts. The questionnaire was divided into different sections, each containing specific validation questions. Content validity and reliability were assessed. A content validity index (CVI) ≥ 0.80 was targeted for each section and for each individual questions within those sections. A content analysis of the qualitative data obtained from the expert comments was conducted; this was followed by a non-parametric Mann–Whitney test for each section to assess the training's reliability. Findings: Two consultation rounds proved necessary. A total of 33 experts participated in the first round, and 21 in the second. Regarding content validity, after the second round of consultations, 11 of 12 sections and 104 of 113 questions had a CVI ≥ 0.80. The qualitative data analysis led to modifications in the training content for sections and questions that did not achieve the target validity index, in addition to generating seven recommendations to be considered when developing a training. Lastly, reliability was present with a p > 0.05 for nine out of 12 sections. Conclusion: This study validated the training developed to support charge nurses in fulfilling their position by strengthening their competencies. Supporting charge nurses in this manner will have positive impacts, particularly on the quality of care, the safety of users, and the retention rate of nursing staff.
