The denomination of Postglacial seas in Québec is discussed. Champlain and Laflamme seas correspond to relatively short periods of marine invasions of inland areas, while Goldthwait, Iberville and Tyrrell seas correspond to longer marine invasion of coastal areas probably still affected by submergence. For more clarity in the stratigraphical nomenclature, it is appropriate to subdivide these events into two or three distinct periods.

This study first analyzes the legal status of the Gulf of St-Lawrence in international law focusing on the straight baselines method and the theory of maritime historic titles.Secondly, the status of the Gulf in Canadian internal law is considered, in particular in light of the relevant Canadian legislation. Afterwards, it will be seen if, in Canada, a Crown prerogative of territorial delimitation exists in the light of judicial precedents. This question leads to a discussion of the value given by our courts to executive certificates issued under the above-mentioned prerogative in the absence of specific legislation on the Gulf. This study owes its structure to the decision of judge Yvon Mercier in R. v. Paul Frank Watson.

The Mediterranean together with the Black Sea constitutes a fishing ground of almost 3 000 000 square kilometres. In view of its geographical location, numerous conflicts arise in this area regarding its exploitation since 22 states have direct access to its waters. Total fish catch in the Mediterranean amount to almost 1 900 000 tons per year with a rise of 136 % over 20 years. This industry employs nearly 250 000 fishermen. The occupations vary greatly in general and the exploitable resources are shared inequitably. The state of exploitation is such that the financial returns are extremely uneven, hence the requisite for profitability sometimes leaves much to be desired. Although potential development of stock appears limited, changes in reception facilities, production instruments, planning of coastal and lagoon areas, and better training of fishermen would improve the situation in this industry. The setting-up of Mediterranean integrated programmes can be a step forward towards the realization of this goal.

Often called as support of mobilization of collective action, the territory is polysemous in its definition. The general council of “Côtes-d'Armor” as a local and public authority relies on the administrative territory within its prerogative to implement its approach called “Turquoise Economy”. This aims to reaffirm and to strengthen the maritime ambition of Côtes-d'Armor while promoting an economic diversification based on an integrated management of maritime and coastline space and resources. However, although the general council is perceived as legitimate to intervene as a public authority, the territory of intervention has often been questioned by the stakeholder, whether or not they participate to the implementation of the policy. Based on our work, we will analyze the reasons of this lag and we will demonstrate how it can be overcome through a public policy thought in an inter-territorial perspective.

Is it possible to overcome the opposition between a radical constructivism and a naive dogmatism -- as it has recently been reformulated, notably by Quentin Meilassoux, in terms of the opposition between correlationism and realism? This article proposes the idea of an original mediation which is not that of human thought. According to Meilassoux the mediation of being can only be embodied in individuals. By questioning this idea, this text tries to think a material and embodied mediation which manifests itself in a particular way in the technique. The reflection on the digital, the editorialization and the digital Humanities becomes the pivot to think a "prehuman" mediation, which allows moreover to solve the problem of the ancestral ones that was at the foundation of Meillassoux's analyses.
