AbstractThe Adra delta is located on the eastern limit of Almeria in South-East Spain. Entirely devoted to agriculture for many years, greenhouse crops now cover the entire delta. The intensive use of fertilizers and the recycling of irrigation water have resulted in an alarming increase in nitrate concentrations in the groundwater of the eastern part of the delta. Two wetlands located in this sector are protected as natural reserves and are included in the Ramsar Convention. These wetlands are discharge zones for the aquifer and have shown high nitrate concentrations for some years. The objective of this work was to study the effect of irrigation water recycling on nitrate contamination of groundwater and to highlight the effect of this contamination on the wetlands. A model simulating nitrogen transfer in the unsaturated soil was used to simulate nitrate concentrations in groundwater recharge. Considering the dilution of nitrate into the aquifer and the presence of denitrification processes in the eastern sector, measured nitrate concentrations in the aquifer were adequately reproduced, thus confirming the contribution of groundwater recycling through irrigation in aquifer contamination. Simulation of a hypothetical stop of irrigation water recycling showed that a period of ten years would be necessary for nitrate concentrations to reach levels measured before the start of greenhouse agriculture. Wetland efficiency in attenuating groundwater nitrate contamination has been stable at 92 to 94% from 1991 to 1997. Nitrate concentrations are nevertheless very high in the wetlands, threatening them with eutrophication.

This research studied, on the one hand, effect of the type of relationship on emotional self-efficacy and marital conflict; and on the other hand, relationship between emotional self-efficacy and marital conflict. It concerned 121 Cameroonian lovers, coming from three types of romantic relationship. The data collected with Revised Conflict Tactics Scales and Emotional Self-Efficacy Scale show that type of relationship has an effect on marital conflict (Wilk's ∆ = 0,841, F (2,118) = 2,058, p = 0,029) and that emotional self-efficacy is a predictor of aggressive behaviour in couples (β = -0,313, t(115) = -3,535, p = 0,001). This research highlights the place of emotional skills on the origin of conflicts in an intimate relationship and the need to take into account emotional self-efficacy when addressing the issue of aggressive behaviour in an intimate context.

Financial corporate risk management has evolved in several growing ways over the last decade, but few studies in the literature focused corporate profiles which really need it.This article is divided into three parts : the first part looks at the general definition of risk management; the second part examines the determinants that are considered in the decision to establish such an activity; the third part presents the results of an empirical study which identify the significant determinants motivating the decisions to hedge the price of gold in the mining industry.The author concludes by the identification of the characteristics of the farm-produce sector which militates in favor of an active but prudent risk management.

Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOG) have evolved into complex digital spaces for socialization and interaction. This article explores how MMOG align with the eight characteristics defined by Ray Oldenburg for third places: neutral ground, open access, conversation, accommodation and accessibility, a regular gathering place, low profile, the mood, and a home away from home. Through an immersive virtual ethnography methodology, the study analyzes how MMOG create environments conducive to the formation of online social bonds and communities. The findings demonstrate that MMOG, although digital, embody many qualities of traditional third places, providing players with rich and diverse social experiences.
