AbstractThis article examines an emerging narrative form – the computer game – through the theory presented in Du sens. This reading pushes the ideas of structure elaborated by Greimas to their limits and precipitates a critical return to his general narrative framework, including works later developed, more particularly Du sens II and Sémiotique des passions.

The training offer for librarians in media and information literacy (MIL) remains disparate in France and requires a reflection on the structuring and networking of the global offer on this theme. Based on an analysis of the training actions proposed by the Centres régionaux de formation aux carrières des bibliothèques (CRFCB) and the Unités régionales de formation à l'information scientifique et technique (URFIST), proposals can be established to develop training programs as well as the skills of librarians in this field. The objective is to highlight training pathways and innovative actions to best meet the needs of librarians.

The recent evolution of documentary structures, in line with the multiple use of space, the missions and the competencies of the personnel prompted several French libraries to create fab labs. These labs represent an innovative service for both media libraries and libraries; this opportunity allows librarians to review their professional practices, to question their habits and to consider a new professional model for user services. The fab lab can be seen as a place to develop competencies related to the conception and creation of technical objects, within an open and shared construction of learning activities, tied to a policy perspective of “common knowledge”. This article focuses on an analysis of the involvement of a professional employee in such a project with the study by a researcher of the effects of fab labs on the motivation of youth.

The present paper tends to examine the following question: is there synchronization between Tunisian business cycles and those of its main trading partners (France, Italy, and Germany) and the USA which largely affect their conjunctures? The question, which has not haven straightforwardly response in the literature, needs a special consideration since the 2000s with the entry into force of the Free Trade Agreement signed by Tunisia with the European Union. Applying the Hodrick and Prescott on quarterly GDP series to extract the cycles of the trend and using the method for detecting turning points Bry and Boschan developed by Harding and Pagan, it appears a transmission with a lag of one to two quarters of US economic fluctuations to European countries which then affect almost immediately Tunisian conjunctures. The synchronization of business cycles is confirmed by the use of the dynamic latent factor model initiated by Stock and Watson. However, beyond the existence of a common cycle, Tunisia faces specific movements that can also be indirectly related to its privileged relations with Europe.

To limit the spread of COVID-19, various restrictions have been put in place, including during palliative care and funeral ceremonies. To counteract these restrictions and their effects, some families have resorted to using virtual communication technologies to stay in touch with their loved ones. The purpose of this article is to document the impacts of the use of virtual technologies on the experience of family members of pandemic decedents. A scoping-type literature review was conducted in 4 databases. The results suggest that the use of virtual communication technologies during palliative care had a positive impact on the psychological state of the patient and the satisfaction of relatives. In contrast, those who did not have access to these means experienced frustration about not being able to say goodbye to their loved one.

This article is part of a larger analysis of the reform of the French social benefit system. It studies a measure thought to improve the situation of the poorest while favoring an “incentive to work” effect, i.e. the Negative Income Tax. We study more acutely the coexistence of this instrument of economic policy with a minimum wage. We use a matching model à la Marimon and Zilibotti (1999) based on an explicit horizontal differentiation of workers and jobs. We show that the introduction of a minimum wage improves matching between workers and jobs, making “bad” matches unrealizable. Thus, the labor market is more efficient and the Negative Income Tax reduces inequalities and poverty. However, the policy looses its “incentive to work” effect.

Contemporary creative teaching sometimes defends an improvised conception of pedagogy, where students and teachers build knowledge together. For the teacher, improvisation is more than a simple ability to adapt. It acquires the status of a didactic prospecting tool, producing the techniques on which pedagogy will rely to reach its perfection. For the student, it becomes a tool of discovery and research, instantly mobilizing their curiosity and creativity. How can the immediacy of improvised practices enable teachers to be more efficient in their teaching? Is improvisation in line with current educational concerns? Is it an injunction of current times, or even a necessity driven by hypermodernity?
