This article offers a re-reading of collaborative practices as a new approach to recognizing the concept of "being together and working together" in the field of children's mental health. Our objective is theoretical, not empirical, and our main objective is to spark reflective thinking with respect to collaborative practices, beginning with social services as a discipline based on egalitarian exchange, i.e. providing leverage for joint action by the professions at the child's bedside. We are also suggesting a pause that will allow us dispense with current dogma and review these concepts as child-centered collaborative practices. The article contains four subdivisions, each one with different objectives. Initially we will be looking at children's mental health as a field to be defined within a theoretical area and offering essentially collaborative practice. The second subdivision has allowed us to explore a new semantic approach to the concepts of collaboration and partnership. The third part presents the social service as an interface in the issue of child-centered collaborative practices. The fourth part illustrates collaborative work by structuring the framework of procedural practice within the field of children's mental health.

The purpose of this article is to present the relational space of the psychiatric nurse, in a context of French language mental health services delivery in Ottawa, during the period of psychiatric deinstitutionalization. The case study of a Francophone patient with 26 years of follow-up care at the Montfort Outpatient Mental Health Clinic was selected as a sample. Over this psychiatric life-course, 63% of her encounters were with a nurse, 27% with psychiatrists, 5% with occupational therapists, 4% with social workers and 1% with psychologists. Among the different tasks documented by the nurses, six different types of intervention emerge. The case study, therefore, reveals that the nurse occupies a more significant relational space than that of the other professionals of the multidisciplinary team.

Are students with a permanent disability more likely to drop out of post-secondary education than students without a permanent disability? Once they are out of postsecondary education, do their experiences in the labour market differ? Answers to these questions are necessary to evaluate current policies and to develop new policies. This paper addresses these two questions using a unique data set that combines administrative records from the Canada Student Loans Program with survey responses. Our measure of permanent disability is an objective one that requires a physician's diagnosis. The survey data supply information on the students' education and labour market status.Simple descriptive statistics suggest that, compared to students without a permanent disability, students with a permanent disability are equally likely to drop out of postsecondary education, but less likely to be in the labour force and more likely to be unemployed. We use propensity score matching to address potential selection into the group of students who documented their disability. The results using propensity score matching are consistent with the descriptive statistics. Our story is one of an underpublicized success—the rising number of students with disabilities in postsecondary institutions and their equal likelihood of graduation—and a persistent problem—the continued disadvantage that people with disabilities, even those with the same educational attainment as people without disabilities, face in the labour market.

For an agonistic conception of domestic conflicts. This paper addresses an issue that has been neglected by political thought and by feminist work focused on critical heterosexuality studies: the interpersonal conflict that arises when heterosexual partners try to adapt their intimate arrangements in order to attain greater equality. This article questions the limitations of political thought regarding power relations in the public sphere, as well as the silence of feminists regarding the domestic conflicts that can arise during the transformation of heterosexual relationships, relegating them to personal problems rather than political issues. Whether conflict occurs in the public sphere (in a democracy) or in the private sphere (in a couple), it is an inherent part of life due to plurality and the possibly divergent interests of the partners. Inspired by agonism, this article suggests looking at interpersonal conflicts in a positive light in order to conceive them as a means of political action in the private sphere. The paper is organized in three parts. The first links the politicization of inequalities in heterosexual relationships with the inevitable experience of interpersonal conflict. The second deals with the contribution of the agonistic tradition of political thought to the reflections regarding conflict in the personal sphere. The third discusses the major impact of conflict in feminist struggles to transform everyday heterosexual arrangements. In sum, the article aims to provide a portrait of an agonistic conceptualization of interpersonal conflict.

In this article, we develop a thorough research on the determinants of the entrepreneurial motivation of mompreneurs in French context. The results of our study show that the motivational dimensions of french mompreneurs are diverse and not mutually exclusive. Beyond the work-family balance, the search for satisfaction, independence and professional recognition are important factors of entrepreneurial motivation. However, they are conditioned by contextual factors present at the time of the creation which may change over time. This paper proposes a model of the entrepreneurial motivation of mompreneurs which includes the consideration of three different motivational levels : psychological, economic and environmental.

AbstractRegulation of drug use has undergone major changes in the last few decades. These changes have been marked in particular by a vigorous campaign to develop crime reduction strategies and by the proliferation of techniques and programs of empowerment. The aim of this paper is to analyze the growing popularity of these new intervention strategies in light of the more global changes that are marked by the switch from a providentialist to a neoliberal method of regulation. This analysis leads us to identify two reciprocal themes of this new form of regulation, namely the critique of the providentialist-type institutional model and the promotion of citizen participation. This analysis leads us to an in-depth reflection on the way in which these new emancipatory dynamics are defined in the age of neoliberalism.

AbstractTranslating modes are linked to historical periods as well as to connected philosophies of history. Among them transhistoricism aims to create a dialogue between distant historical situations, keeping from the past what is still relevant and enlightening both translated and translating worlds. This paper presents several philosophical and literary perspectives on transhistoricism, revisiting the notions of empathy and sacredness and their application for translation studies.

The research objective of this article is the issue of developing reflexivity skills among organizational development consultants, who are stakeholders in organizational change (OC) management. The scientific literature clearly shows that the challenges caused by OC are difficult to overcome for managers, as well as for their experts. Paradoxically, the experts also have difficulty meeting the challenges for their own OCs. This article provides a reflection based on field examples aiming to promote a reflective practice based on psycho-sociological interdisciplinarity as a way of experimenting with greater power to act on OC. Once the need for a view as close as possible to the reality of work has been demonstrated to better understand the experience of the OC, a rereading is done using part of the results of three action researches in an organizational consultation environment, using the effects on health at work of consultants, using the joint occurrence between work OCs, particularly those related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and using the requirement to review their professional practices. The psycho-sociological interdisciplinarity used in this research then led the participants to deepen their understanding of the effects of OC on the exercise of their profession as consultants. This action research also allowed them to widen and diversify their repertory of strategies for improving the quality of their work by freeing up leeway to manoeuvre and increase their power to act. The conditions for OC success are thus examined, leading the authors to propose an integrated model for the power to act for such an objective.

Applications of artificial intelligence (AI) are likely to transform the work of professionals (i.e. caregivers, lawyers, teachers, social workers). This scoping review is part of a collaboration between union and research circles to identify the applications, uses and issues of AI that are documented in connection with the work of professionals. The results show that AI is very present in fields such as health, administration, law and education. Its purposes are multiple: from data archiving to decision-making, including word processing, interactions, recognition or simulation. AI could develop in many professions and create major cross-disciplinary issues, in particular around areas of competency, jobs, ethics and the functioning of organizations. Issues more specific to each profession are also identifiable. These results enable to propose a multidisciplinary discussion of these issues by dealing with ethics in the problems of consent to AI, the technological duality of AI, the role of a union in relation to AI and the computational challenge of AI explainability.
